Singles matches only, man vs man or man vs woman
- A game is played for best of three short sets, that is, with tie brake
definition if necessary
- Games can be canceled for any reason without lose of points, we understand
we are all working and sometimes experiments or work takes longer than
expected
- A canceled game can be played later in the day or during the week.
If not possible later the week after, whenever the two parties have
time at their own convinience. Two weeks is enough time to catch up
a game so please be diligent
- We play our games on Saturday from 3 or 7pm. The scheduled is TBA
(to be announced). Organization committee will book the courts and let
you know your play time
- Man winner of a match gets 2 points, regardles gender of opponent
- Man that loses a match gets zero points, regardles gender of opponent
- Woman winner of a match gets 2.5 points, regardles gender of opponent
- Woman that loses a match gets 0.1points per every game she wins, regardles
gender of opponent. Example Gentleman vs Lady, final score: 6-3, 6-2.
Lady gets 0.5 points total. Another example Lady A vs Lady B, final
score: 6-4, 3-6, 6-1, Lady A gets 2.5points for winning and Lady B gets
1.1 points for winning 11 games
- No referies will be necessary, players can discuss friendly any dubious
balls
- Someone with time available can show up to help pass balls at the
net to players. This is not a referee, is just a volunteer ball assistant
- After all the matches are played the player with more points is the
Overall Champion
- The woman that gets the more points in the general scoring fixture
is the Woman Champion. Example; if a lady ends up in 5th position in
the overall ranking and is the highest compared to other ladies, then
she is the Woman Champion.
- In the event of players having same points their ranking will be decided
comparing the game between them both. Example; Player A, 20 points,
Player B, 20 points. If player A defeated player B then player A is
ranked higher.
- In the event of a tree-way tie or four-way tie or five way-tie or
any-way tie in first, second, or any position the tie will be resolved
like this. Taking the average of lost games in all games of each player,
the lower the average the better rank the player. Example, three way
tie between Player A, Player B and Player C; In its eleven games Player
A lost a total 66 points (6-2, 6-3, 6-1... whatever). In its eleven
games Player B lost a total of 77 points (7-6, 4-6, 6-3... whatever).
In its eleven games Player C lost a total of 72 points (6-3, 6-1, 6-7...
whatever). Player A played a total of 22 sets, so his average is 66/22=3.
Player B played a total of 25 sets, so his average is 77/25=3.08. Player
C played a total of 27 sets, so his average is 83/27=3.074. Then there
is no tie anymore; Player A is better than Player C and B. And Player
C is better than Player B.
